We are delighted to welcome Jhonnatan Medina Álvarez to the Barcelona Pickleball Open!
A former ATP professional tennis player and Venezuelan representative in the Davis Cup, Jhonnatan has quickly established himself as a leading figure in the world of pickleball, winning multiple medals on the APP and PPA circuits, including international gold medals at the European Championship, the Indian Open, and the PPA Challenger in Colombia.
As part of the event, he’ll be leading a special summer camp, coaching players of all levels to help them improve their game. We’re honored to have him there!
Location
The Pavello de la Mar Bella is an indoor arena located right on the beach front in Barcelona, Catalonia.
The facility, initially used as a venue for the badminton competitions at the 1992 Olympic Games, has a capacity of 4,000 spectators. It currently serves as a sports and cultural centre, comprising four multi-sport courts, seating for 1,000 spectators, changing rooms and restrooms.
